Motor name plate for replacement motor on the press as purchased.
GE 5KH39QN9218A
Equiv Mars Motors 04386
1/2 HP, 115 Volts, 60 Hz, 1 Phase, 1725 RPM
Frame 56
5/8" shaft with 3/16" key
Typical open frame, general duty AC motor.
From the original invoice for this press, it shipped with a 1/4 HP/220V/3PH/60Hz motor. This one is a little overkill!
The frame on this motor is a bit too large to mount freely to the A-8 Motor Plate and still leave a full range of adjustment for the A-100 Drive Ring to mate up to the A-104 Driven Cone. Maybe because it's twice the horsepower of the original one?
I'll have to keep an eye out for a 56 frame 1/4HP motor not made by the millions in the cheapest possible way. Wish me luck.

View of press from the rear with the motor dismounted. The big flat plate is A-8 Motor Plate.
Doesn't look like original paint. Maybe not even the original plate given how crudely the slots are cut.

Drive belt is next.
